I decided the rear tires are the correct height but not the correct width .. I turned to my good buddy Jeff Palmer who already had a cast so I've got 2 sets which are 2 different widths.. also the wheel centers which I can offset to get "the look" and then hit'em with the Alclad treatment .. also one of my best buddies , John Bissinger, is sending me a couple front wheels and tires to put the stance where it needs to be ,, here's a shot of the rear wheels and inserts and a pair of cool Buick finned brake drums .. -

Man Chuck..you have some mad skills showing through. What a great build of one of the most radical rods of all time. Great a lot of the klowns coming through for you too. A top shelf build when done for sure. A "10"!

Thanks Gerry .. The support has been great !! Here's a test shot teaser photo of a cylinder head .. Check out the casting number .. Pretty crazy but this is detail needed on a large scale build and TDR Innovations is the one to deliver - they presently offer 2 types if material for their parts - "Sand cast" slightly rough like cast iron and "ultra frost" which requires virtually no "clean up ".. This is ultra frost -

Also the nuts and bolts are on the way from TDR Innovations in various sizes .. the engine parts all have holes where the real bolts would have went .. (one size pictured here)

Well, I have to ask... Now that YOU have these wonderful parts in hand, any plans to recast them yourself? Sorry Mike that would be infringing on TDR's copyrights ... Had I been the one to generate all the files and pay them for manufacturing a master then I could ..

Well I spent the day at the model bench .. Still lots of work ahead.. Each rear rim has 5 pieces so several hours burnt up cutting , setting correct back spacing and prepping for Alclad.. Also assembled a pair of wider slicks , sanded, primed, painted, and dull coated... Then spent lots of time polishing injector stacks, and various parts getting them ready for Alclad are metalizers... Then I will be scratch building header flanges and headers... Also fuel blocks and linkage for the injection system ... meanwhile back at the ranch .. here's some of today's progress .. : Once I primed and painted the timing cover with metalizer you could see the detail jumping out at you... this is AMAZING ! Same on the vally cover - BOOM! Next came all the little "goodies" which received a bath in ALCLAD .. : as did the oil pan - the rims were compiled of 5 pieces .. center drum, mag center, front and rear ring, and center cap - I then mocked them up for the perfect back spacing to the rims a deep offest for the new tires .. : Then along came the ALCLAD : Valve covers and injector stacks were ALCLADED after the photos .. so more to come!!

Beautiful stuff buddy.... One thing I see here.....the center cap screws are supposed to line up with the spokes, not the lugnuts......silly boy..... ;D Your new front wheels were supposed to be delivered today, did ya get 'em?
