Thanks for pointing out the center caps John, but they look worse lined up with the spokes.. I may end up removing the "screw tabs" ... no sir no wheels yet ..

That's amazing stuff Chuck! If I may offer a tip onyour header flange... If you can find a picture of the correct header gasket, or better, an illustration, copy it and resize it to suit, print. Instant perfect template! Like one of these... Actually, this is closest to what you need.

Showro Freak Don dropped me the link to their website Bob.. Do a search for "Arizona Models"... You can purchase them as a kit or pay extra to receive them assembled and ready to go.. Yes they do come with tires BUT they are "smoothie" vintage type ballon type tires... My buddy ""Ratrod" John sent me a pair of front 9th scale motorcycle tires that I sectioned.. After careful measuring I cut the unwanted section out, drilled both ends, inserted a small piece of close hanger , then i used urethane to bond them back together .. I used a 3M product called "Window Weld" which is used commercially for installing automotive glass.... Aircraft wheels - (thanks Don!) www.arizonamodels.com/index.php/cPath/23

Three !!! Thats to big buddy. I'm looking for 2 to 2 1/2 . That would have fit the 1/9 scale tire.

Clarification - 1 7/8" OD rim with a modified 1/9th scale front motorcycle tire put me dead in 3 inch overall OD .. The tires they supplied is nothing more than a round piece if smooth, soft rubber bead material used in the aftermarket upholstery world .. Just appearing as a big round balloon type tire (no tread)found on vintage aircraft in which it was intended...a 9th scale rim and tire from a motorcycle kit put the tire way above the grill shell . I will post a mock up photo in a few minutes .. Golden "T" - tires were correct height but too fat - 9th scale motorcycle rims and tires were correct width but too tall and actually came ABOVE the headlights and grille shell when profiling the car from the side - sectioning of the 9th scale tire on the 1 7/8" (2") rim put me where I needed to be -

Hey Chuck
Your measurment is correct. 1 7/8 but from what size rim. I ask Scott and he won't tell me. I think that is a 13 inch wheel. Calculate that size 13 and your at almost 2 1/2

I'm not sure who "Scott" is you are referring to .. I spoke with Jamie .. Jamie was very cordial as I explained the size of wheel I was in search of and what I was wanting as a final result. We even exchanged photos, and numerous phone calls- I sent pictures of the 1:1 Uncertain-T front wheel and he sent photos of various wheels which he had custom made ... . also take note that my wheels have additional 3 piece custom made center hub which offers a finished look and have a much larger diameter than the standard lighter "aircraft" style hub offered in their photo .. this of course as an additional fee but worth it for this project .. I wanted you to know because I didn't want you to order the same diameter wheel and have it show up with a tiny hub .. I would call them, and tell them what size/dimension(s) you WANT.... the scale of their wheel doesn't matter as long as your end result is what you want (?)

OK knuckleheads, the tires I sent Chuck were 1/8 Revell Triumph 3.25 x 19" Dunlops, not 1/9 scale. And they sure look great on that giant UCT!!! Those wheels look fantastic Chuck!!! I'd say a little fine steel wool will polish those up nicely!!! Your rear wheels look perfect too. Just like a fat bottomed girl, this monster will make the "Rockin' world go round" ;D

They look great in the photo Paul but the tread is too aggressive and the tires are an 8th too wide... It looks much different in person...

Yeah... In all this tire saga I had considered 9th scale because I had nothing to base "9th scale" from.. My bad... Sorry for the mix up fellas!!
