Here in front the rounded adjustment in the chassis frame for the barrel cab. I looked for a very long time in my collection for the suitable front axle, until I found these here. It comes from the “Green Hornet” kit. ( www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/green_hornet.html ) I cut the leaf spring off. Then I filed a centering admission for the frame. Similarly with the framework; The groove is for centring and had to be adapted to the roundness of the axle. Fits perfectly, here the axle still turned around; the tie bar of the steering element will look Forward...

I searched for ornaments and found in my spare part crate somewhat suitable. That comes from the “Popcorn Wagon” kit ( www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/popcorn_wagon.html ). I did not use it, because the coating was bad (oxidizes somehow? ). Well that I kept. Now I can use that finally (few would intervene and changes, are already necessary ) After a few modifications: On the exterior of the rear wall I engraved a wood sample: The whole looks now in such a way:

Your gonna end up with a better designs than Newt's! Keep up the great work!
I had that weird "oxidization" on my parts from that PW kit also.
I really like this scratch build.

I know you've got a ton of work inn this so far, but it is so evident that your idea's are "just falling together" as you roll along! You have to love it when a plan just works!! I REALLY like what you've done so far! This is going to be a killer build from what I can tell! The great thing about building showrods is, the thing doesn't have to work!! LOL! Leave it to the nut and bolt counters to worry about that!

Very COOL, keep it up, as for the Oxidation, I remember having the same problem with mine also, could be something from the gold tint they were using at the time during the plating process,
I had all of the parts redone by Chrome tech in chrome,
take care George

Hello everyone! I am back from holidays ;D . I had sufficient time to collect a few new ideas. It continues to go with my “Winewagonprogress”. I thought for a long time, over the wheels. Which rims and which tires should I use for this project? Hmm... Something special would have to be it... First, I did not find anything suitable. Something like the RC- Wheels or such a thing exaggerated. Unfortunately I do not have some . decided to manufacture my own! . I dug in my spare part crates and found these rims. They come from two differently large Diecast cars, which have fortunately the same rim Design ;D. (I buy these to cannibalize it for spare parts ). Left in the picture, the original version and right, the overturned new. I overturned it, in order to receive a cylindrical surface. The idea is to put it into new turned aluminum pipes. At the back of the new aluminum rims I turned a larger recess, in order to press the rims in. I receive after polish a stepless transition in the rim wall. (I hope ) And a very deep rim! ;D Thanks for the interest.

Bobby, I've been away from the board for quite a while. What a time to check in and see your fabulous work on the Wine Wagon. I agree that it's one of Newt's best concepts. I'm waiting to see how it comes out.
