Hello together! After the arduous polish, is it finally so far, my wheels are now complete. ;D Well. I am not completely content with the polished surface. It looks somehow blunt beside the chromium-plated surface of the original rim. This has a “cold” and my a “warm” gloss… I hope that it looks good at the model, finally... Thanks for looking. I made some wheels once and had trouble getting a good finish as well. I had to try using differant grits of paper, cloths and liquid polish, but I finally was able to get a finish I could live with. My smaller wheel still needs some work. And once more your work is Awesome!!!!!!!

Thanks, Dave! ;D Here is the answer to the questions that I think some of you have asked: No, this project is not forgotten, and certainly not abandoned! Unfortunately, I have not very big progress on this project. This has several reasons. The front part of the frame is unfortunately already broken for the second time and had to be changed (in the yellow circle). The first time I was too strong in the process. The second time was very angry, it fell on the hard ground of my hobby room... Between whir through new ideas in my head around, which I must implement immediately. ;D Otherwise, I forget it again. So I pursued intensively several new projects until they have achieved a good stand ... ;D O.K. To the Winewagon now: I have it reinforced and an additional bracket mounted (for the barrel cab). The whole is already primed, but not much further... Secondly, I have a long time, looking after small parts. Steering, dashboard, pedals, exhaust, these rods for the chains, etc., etc. ... , step by step... This is the Dashboard, it`s donated by the same Popcornwagon- kit. ;D I have rounded it a bit, so it fits better in the Barrelcab ceiling. I am still not completely decided, but perhaps, this will be the steering ...

That's the downfall sometimes of these scratchbuilt models, especially when you start using metal parts. The Martian Spider 2 thing I've been working on weighs a ton. Between the 8 resin cast tires, and the 8 solid aluminum rims, it has really added up. I have broken the rear cabs axle supports off twice prior to painting. I also had to use JB Weld to attach the rims to the axles so it would hold! LOL. If it breaks now, it will seriously damage the paint. I have been sliding a piece of cardboard under it to pick it up with! You've got quite a masterpiece in the works here, so take your time with it. I don't think I've ever seen a post on here with so many hits! Over 3500!

Holy cow!!! I can't believe I missed most of this one..... I've sat here this morning and looked at all the pages, and I must say....I'm very impressed!!! Between this build, and your Pie Wagon build, I can't decide which one I like best.....I love 'em both!!! One things for sure, I hope they both end up in the Gallery. Great job Bobby.

When I started this project, I did not know how much interest I awakens in you ... I am overwhelmed. Thank you. Many, many thanks to you all who support me, cheer and request that I continue in this model work. ;D As I said, I have been working on this project, but it is slow. I need a lot of time for trifles and fine work. Often it happens that I do not like the result and I then re-start. You know this; I spend long hours, for example in the development of some parts or painting and at the end there is not very much to see... That will be the front window for the barrel cab. I carved that, from a 1mm thin plexiglass panel. (With both sides protective foil) These are the seats. (The painting is about, not yet completed)

Thank you very much! ;D I had some time this morning to continue. This is the third top layer of paint. The previous shades have not liked me. I had the feeling as I turned in a circle ... But now, I believe that it will remain so: I just do not know whether I should paint it clear ... Or whether it should remain?

I just sat here going through this whole project with my wife, showing her what you started with, and where it's at now.....We are both impressed!!! The cab looks great Bobby, and considering what you have done with a piece of PVC, and what it is now is nothing short of spectacular..... I would say it's done (the cab) I don't think I would clear it. Keep going man!!!
