hey gang ,have made several friends on here past few months and enjoy looking at all the talent .just wanted to let you guys know that my father passed this morning after a hard fight with cancer so i may not be up for talking toys for awhile but ill for sure be back when in better spirits ! thanks for all the input and help you have giving ,talk to you all soon...Roger

hey gang !! some cool builds going on for this challenge,im not getting in on this one but if your into 1/32 kits check out 3dhotwheels on ebay ! most of these are AURORA kits from 1976 and a little pricey i thought for such small scale but there are some cool ones,i like the T Dragster Show Rod !!

found a couple at a local diecast store (springfield mo) owned by a friend,he just started carrying plastic, he has a few of the new reissues,53 chevy, the digger cuda,hemi hauler ,the monte carlo w/the chopper and trailer,mach 5, all of these kits were $14.99

sounds good ill have to check it out ! we had one of those stores in Nixa that also went out of buss. a couple of years ago . i did stop by a buddy of mines diecast store today ,Rons Racing Collectibles ,and he has got in some plastic ,Lil Stogie,the Monte Carlo w/the chopper,53 chevy ,Mach 5 and few others ... hes been hurt with the economy(like us all !) so if you get to Springfield check him out ,largest NASCAR, NHRA, anything diecast, in the area ,cool store !!!

hey Art im trying to come up with Fire Iron decals i have the originals but they are in sad shape,complete just yellowed and im not sure the glue is still good ,anyways what do i need to do for you to recreate ? sorry sold all my drag kits about a year ago so no trades will have to be a cash deal ,just let me know...thanks ! also read where Decal Digs redid these in like a gold foil that really looked good any chance of that ?

yea trying to go original but thanks for the idea !! just read a post from BOZOBUTT that he can recreate decals ,sounds like hes doing alot of older drag race stuff but maybe can do the show rod decals as well ,gonna check with him later ...

what hobby shops !!? the only nice store we had was private owned (Boneheads !) always liked the name ;D but the guy just didnt get enough business and went under, the rest have all gone to RC cars and train sets if you get down by Branson theres a pretty cool store in Hollister !!...Rog

yeah thats gonna be cool kinda have to agree with the others tho,trailer hitch may be just a little out of scale, but thats a cool idea,dig the duals !! could probably just take a little off the sides of that hitch and make it work,just a thought.keep the pictures coming...

i agree the front whites might be a little wide and that "yellow"gold on the carbs a little bright,but if you check some of the early photos it did have gold carbs at one point and it did have the gray cast wheels !! either way ,like alot of you guys have mentioned,its been through alot of changes in its life and i have to say it still looks way cool im in springfield missouri and we have a local fabricator named ron englert who did a real nice version for a local gentleman named the lil coffin 2, ive got some pics somewhere, ill try to dig them out and post them for you guys...

ive had real good luck with replacement parts from revell but that doesnt help you much here,sorry with all these guys though hopefully you can come up with one ,ive seen a couple of kit bashes where theyve only used one of the rearends ,just a thought !!

i have to ask,is that just clear over the molded red plastic !? if so it really looks good sorry about the decals ,makes me kind of worried to do mine ,bought it off the bay, its complete but the decals look OOLLLD !! is anyone still making repop decals for this kit ?

yea theres several kits that use what im looking for ,(munster coach),but i dont want to rob anyones kits ,unless theyve done a bash and didnt happen to use it !! thanks tho... ive found a couple in resin but cant see the detail in the pics,just look like blobs of white

hey gang ! bought a repop of the paddy wagon and was disappointed to see the decals dont have all the scroll work that i remember from the older kits ! does anyone make those decals or would one of you guys have a set ,from a kit bash possibly !? thanks...roger
