Thanks for jumping in with your votes. With your votes the final score was Phone Booth - 11, Farmer - 11, and Moon mixer 12.
I might build the others later on. I've always been interested in both.

Which model would you like to see a build up of:
Casper Phone Booth
Elegant Farmer
Moon Mixer
If you don't ever get to the MCM forum, I have a poll there in the general topic thread in a post called From the Vault.
The build up gets featured in MCM magazine. I though you Klowns might be interested in this one since it's all showrods.
Hope you join in.
Scott
Paul: I hope I did not break any rule by bringing up another forum.

Love that collection!I'm a big fan of John's model creations! Rumor is that this guy from the Gypsy Wagon might be him. You would know best.

Sanding blocks and files. Your need a hard backing so you can shape it. Sanding sticks and fingers will only make it worse. Good luck.

The right amount of work can really bring a simple kit to life. Great work. The blue awesome.

I think I did that with Fantastic some years ago. One wipe was all it took.

That is nice box art. First time I've seen brass knuckles on a car. Tough.

First, thanks to Paul and Dave for making this the best Showrod gathering spot in the world. And WOW its has been a long journey. I did not know I was an old-timer. How did that happen?
I remember the day I found the original Showrods site. Heaven! I wrote Dave to join. I thought he was also the Dave who did the awesome fantasy show rods. I learned that was Dave Marek who has since become a friend, even if communication is sporadic.
I think that eBay was just taking off and the Daniels reissues were sparse. so a TJ Taxi was a golden find. I tuned in every day for the update on Tim Nolan's Ghoul Bus. Other highlights were getting to meet Ira, Boom, Brandon, and Dave Skurvy. I made some friends and some went by the wayside as times changed. Still, lots of fun. After a couple years on the forum and I asked for a Klown name- I got Flounder. Perfect! I am still planning to finish my long stalled build off with Tim Nolan. Some things don't change. Back when I had more money to spare, I collected a few builds from some of the members here. I'll always keep those.
It's a bit quieter here (no more wars with the other site) but its still a regular visit. I am back writing for MCM again, but it may be a while before my articles show up. Summer is here and school is out, so I plan to get some building done.
Thanks for all the good times!
Scott

I have an original, but the decals are a bit worn, so I'm looking for a set from the reissue.
Thanks in advance.

Great additions to the gallery. Of note is the awesome gold Cherry Bomb bash. It looked familiar, so I went onto my eBay saved list and there it was. It sold for only 51 dollars! Someone got a steal on that one.

Scribbles snuck himself on the box. He did the box art on all the trike reissues. I dropped over a hundred on a cleanly built Unreal Roller last year. Ugh. I also have a couple mint Groovy Graders I was thinking of selling to fund some 1:1 car building, and those just dropped in value. It's the risk of want. Here are the decals.

This is one I actually did not buy on eBay before it was reissued. Now I just need the Cobra Trike to complete the set. Great box art! That must be your own Diamond Dave down near the bottom of the box.

Nicely done, Don. That's the second I've seen built and that was 30 years ago.

I'll probably go to Kit Kollectors Prison for breaking out this one:
Couldn't help myself. The box was unsealed. I was going to show some restraint, but changed my mind... the will be done as Wild.
Of note, the supplied drag wheels do not fit within the confines of the fenders, so I've replaced them with a parts box set (those fronts are the back set from a Surfite).
I'll need to repro some decals as well.
Hopefully, I'll be giving Canney something to look forward to! I'll be watching to see how this one turns out. Last year I ended up gathering up the entire set. The Piping Hot was the last one I landed, The wheel don't fit in a lot of them. Your solution looks to match the box art. Scott

All great additions. I've been following the Lil' series and like them all! The upgrades to the Chariot are killer as are the extra details on the Beetle Bus. Love seeing that rare train in green too. I followed the Cuda build Paul, The finished product is great! So what did you do with the groovy decals? Scott

This is a seven year project that I have been trying sooo hard to bring to completion. It's a replica of Louie Force's unfinished Drag Truck. It's mostly scratch built. Right now, I am making the steering column. And this was once last kick to the head from 2020. On NewYears Eve I was grinding away with my Black and Decker rotary tool when it stopped and the lights at my bench dimmed. Every time I stepped on the speed pedal the lights dimmed but the tool did not turn. Then came to smoke from the transformer. I took it apart to see what burned, but I could not find it. Bought a Dremmel tool for 100 bucks, but my rheostat foot pedal was only functioning as off and on with the Dremmel brand tool. So the Dremmel goes back to Lowes and I bought a used B&D transformer off eBay for 20 bucks. Good riddance 2020.

Hey Dave,
I remember you started the Baron gasser, but I missed the finished product. I'll save that drawing and put it in the someday pile. All you need is a Red Baron and a Tony Nancy rail. I'd steal the front rims form the Barnabas coffin trailer or I could finally work that photo etcher sitting under my bench.
Too cool to pass up.
