The frame for the trailer is just about done. Upside down. Right side up. The frame mounts to six pins on the floor. Four of them locate at the ends of the longer supports, the other two are under the airbag mounts. Some random shots of how they will hopefully fit together.

I redid the layout of the font of the engines to clean things up and make more room. I redid the wires on the right engine. It's going to take some finessing to get everything lined up correctly. I've added fuel rails to the engines and cut the water pumps from the timing covers. I'll build a single electric water pump to replace the stock ones. The floorpan for the trailer is painted. While carrying it back to the desk I noticed something I hadn't see before, Green. At the right angle it goes from teal to green then transparent, then violet.

I messed around with the trike a little more. I started with making new wheels and tires for the back. The framework for the tire. The tire is ready for prime and filler. I made a front tire but will probably scrap it in favor of an O-Ring if I can find one the right size. I've also started on the front forks and footpegs.

Thanks guys. I misplaced my circle cutter, so the mock up for casting the rear tires was a bit off to say the least. I hoped I would find a way to true up a solid cast wheel and found a coupe of wraps of masking tape over the small Dremel sanding drum held the tire snug enough. Here is the trued up tire. I will now cast the trued wheel to have on hand. I don't know what size it is offhand, but the centers of the tires fit Evergreen tube, so making wheels will be easy. My favorite era of art/design is Art Deco. I think the fender skirts on the trailer are what really sold it for me. And of course the first thing I did was cut them off. The replacement was a set of 30's fenders. I combined the front of the back fenders with the back of the front fenders to get the shape. Then the sides were filled and extensions added to the back edge to clean the up. I like this better than the original skirts as it uses a full size tire and I can use matching wheels.

That trailer has some Art-Deco lines at the top and those fenders are just what the doctor ordered!

The new back tires are cast and I started on the front wheel. I found a perfect size O-Ring and made the hoop for the rim out of .010 x .060. My original plan was a hubless front wheel. I like how it drops the forks real low at the tire. For the heck of it, I made a clear front wheel too. I like the stance of the hubless better. I've stripped the chrome from the original engine and am recasting that also. I think the detailing will be much crisper the second time around.

Fabrication on the Mini trike is done. Tomorrow I'll know if I have better molds for the engines. This is how it's going to look.

The new molds made from a stripped engine are much cleaner and show more detail. I decided to make a liar out of myself and add a little more fab work. I made some exhaust pipes. It needs a little fine tuning, but I think it adds just enough detail.

You guys sure know how to give someone a swelled head. Thanks for all the comments. The trike was looking a little too cool for the stamped steel style wheels. I started with the tube for the hoop (3/8" I think) and another piece that fits snugly in the hoop and five .030 hex rod pieces for the spokes. I arranged the spokes and taking a length of .080 rod with a tiny drop of MEK on the end, placed it over the spokes and held it for a few seconds. You can't use too much cement, if it drips to the table surface your spokes will stick to the table, not to mention get ruined. After it dried, I added a small drop of CA for strength. After the cement has set up fairly well I lifted it up and added more cement and set it aside to dry. Once it was dry, I cemented a small piece of tube to the back for the axle to slide into. then set it aside to dry. A small drop of CA was added once I was sure it was centered close enough. Next up was to trim the spokes the fit flush with the outer perimeter of the ring. Trim back the .080 rod and you are left with a wheel center. the front. The back. Now just slide the center into the hoop from the back and you have a wheel. I think it was definitely worth the work, what do you think? Now to see if I can do it a second time!

With the trailer and trike stalled until I can paint again, it's time to accomplish what I can. I'll concentrate on the chassis and drivetrain of the Jeep. After I finished up a long overdue project for a friend, it was time to do some fabbing for me. It's not a lot but it's a start. To clean up the engine compartment I did away with the stock water pumps in favor of a huge hi-flow hi-volume electric one. This will mount to the front engine coupler under the turbo plumbing. I modeled it after one of the pumps I used to run on my reef aquarium. I thought the grille sat to high. I added a chin spoiler to fill the gap.

I saw this post about the right side engine and the wires not looking correct. If it was me I would have had either both distributors on the outside, or both on the inside for a more Symmetrical look to the motors. You know these are custom motors, and if you all can remember the Tommy Ivo 4 engine dragster, he had completely redid two of the motors so they would run in the opposite directions I can say that I could never fabricate the way you have been doing and demonstrating in this forum thread. First, a big compliment, your ideas and solutions are just fantastic, you have again raised the bar very high. But... I'm also not realy happy with the right side engine, Dave, the wires as they are now, that looks, to put it mildly, not very nice... That is my opinion, I would change it. You have a lot of work put into it, but just such details, believe me, it upsets the whole...
