I have been playing with pick up designs with "car" rear ends for a while and I finally found this wild combination. I started with a Revell 34 Ford and an AMT 57 Chevy. The HEMI engine is from a MPC Street Charger. These were all junk cars rescued for this project. Rear View: Hope you enjoy the photos! More details coming soon!

Ira, I love this integration. You have blended the best of both vehicles perfectly.
However IMHO, no offense but I think the front end looks a bit cartoonish.

Smokin' cool Ira! Center the Dagmars and lower trim upwards into the top trim more, sort of a mirror above and below, move the headlight buckets down till they just kiss the trim suround. This'll shorten up the front, which will re-enforce the '57 features and help with the cartoonieness a little as well, I think. This should be awesome when finished!

This is one of my favorite details, one of the '57 Chevy hood bullets molded in the cowl! The '34 Ford body & firewall were also sectioned about 5/16"

The back of the '57 Chevy was narrowed to fit the Ford. The taillight housings were replaced with the Oval shaped '57 bumper pieces. Two Two Ford roll pans were needed for the rear. The pick up bed is a plastic box top.

The interior was sectioned about 5/16" and the seat platforms were removed. I think the seats are from a Contach.

The '57 Chevy dashboard was cut down to fit over the Ford dash. It fits right in place, no problem!

Here is the Dodge HEMI motor. It is from an old MPC Street Charger kit. I got most of the glue and old paint off. The Street Charger will be re-released in Dec 2011!!! I want 3!

Thanks! I use Evercoat "Metal Glaze" for large areas and Squadron White or Green putty for finishing. Note, I dry the Squadron in the dehydrator to pre-shrink it.

Thanks for the kind words Michael! I am setting up the front end, with the bumper section in front of the axle, just clearing the pavement. the upper section will be on top of the frame rails and cut out to clear the independent front arms. It will mount very low between the wide Muscle Machine spoke wheels & tires. There will also be a Big HEMI right behind it. Photos coming later...
