I scored these cards at the Dayton, OH Toy Show today. There is no name on the cards, no card count (1 of XX), just T.C.G. in small letters on the back. One thing I thought was odd, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth is not mentioned at all on the back of the BB card. I also never heard of the "Bimini Wagon". Marty

That is one of my all time favorite cars!! Thanks for saving it!!
If you look at the posters for the movie "Psych-Out" it shows the Voxmobile. I found a double movie DVD of the movie along with "The Trip". The Voxmobile NEVER shows up. The movie was on TCM this morning and I recorded it hoping the DVD was a cut version. Nope still not there. Rats!!

I own them all except the Jordan. Did you know that the Mercer and the Bugatti were actually built? The Mercer was commissioned by a copper trade association to showcase uses of copper. The Bugatti is identical to the Renwal design except that rectangular Cibie headlights were used. Yeah!! The Mercer was built on a stretched Cobra chassis! In the link I posted earlier there are more links that show the 1:1 cars. Marty

I have been looking for one of these for a long time. I just scored this off the bay: I have the '66 Stutz and '66 Mercer slot cars. They both are rather poorly built. I also have a partial of the Duesenberg. One of these days I will get the slot cars going again! Marty

Tommy Ivo was one of the very kool guys that proved cars can look great and go fast! These were at the Hot Rod Reunion in Columbus, OH last year: I could not get a clear picture of this car because people were around it all the time. This one lone guy standing next to it was the best shot I got. One of the car mags did an article on him recently. I'll look around and see if it is still here. Marty

I agree. This thread should be titled "Grippers" designed by George Barris. ZEE just decided to put the fugly wheels on their stolen design Silhouette. Marty In all fairness, the late '60s and '70s were not friendly times for intellectual property. There are plagarized designs by the dozens, if not hundreds, that were produced by Zee and Zylmex. My suspicion is that either Zee didn't consult Barris at all, or that Barris signed on as "creator" of the range, drew a royaly for the use of his likeness, and the designers in Hong Kong did whatever they wanted to. Just a guess. - ep

I'm in Marysville, OH. I could come over and help you unpack ;D. Thanks for the offer! BTW - Thanks for posting the pics. We wanted to get back and waiting until 2:00 for the show area to open, guys to register, set up the models, etc... was too late for us. Marty I passed on the seller area because $12 to get in was fair but $12 more for Carol to just walk around was bs. I, like Mark, have spent years collecting ZZR droppings trying to accumulate enough parts to make a complete kit. Good score for sure! There is no frame for the kit, I found that surprizing. I have a scanned copy of the instructions but I have no idea which of the still unpacked 44 uhaul boxes of models and parts mine is in, so I cant help you right now, but maybe later.

I went to the Toledo Toy Show / NNL Nationals today. I took some money with me, just in case. We had to wait in line to get in @ 11:30. Vendors I believe were setting up since 8:30. Imagine my surprise when I found this after seeing 2/3 of the show ;D: It appears to be mostly complete ;D ;D: He was asking $35, I offered $20, I got it for $25! ;D! ;D! ;D Now all I need is a copy of the instructions to really check it out. More pics @ smg.photobucket.com/albums/v521/mrtc4w/ZZR/I quit looking after this. We went to the show room, but it wasn't going to open for another 1/2 hour. So we came home. Marty

Model Car Science September 1966: I'll bet of lot of them were sent crashing into the first turn wall!! Or the end of a drag strip! The last few models I built were used as slot cars, but they weren't show rods!! Marty
