Just find a cheap "you wrench it" small block and toss that in to make it go again. Slowly start to gather parts to build a stout low compression motor that could wear a huffer later on down the road.

The engine is a kit made by Gibson it's a 440 six pack painted and fully plumbed just like in the movie. Nice clean build but, we never get to see or know just what's under the hood in "Vanishing Point". No under hood shots in the whole movie. There aren't any engine I.D. scripts on the hood ether. None. Closest thing to a hint at what makes it go at all is over the police radio, "...it MAY be Supercharged..." That's it.

I think the Bad Actor version had the open/rounded rear fender wells... So, will the newest reissue have everything corrected back to the original Street Fighter? The box art shows the original rear fender wells.

Two words for you. Two windows. During the last couple of minutes of whatever auction you want to snipe you'll open and use two windows on the same auction, start getting ready. First, Open one window and do everything up to the last button, "confirm bid", this should be YOUR maximum bid amount. Decide up front just what you are willing to go. Don't pres the button though! Minimize the window to about half screen size with the button in easy to hit sight. Now, open up a second window with the same auction, minimize it to half screen size too, so they are side by side. Use that one for your monitoring of the auction countdown. When you are within seconds of the auction ending, I'm talking like 8 to 5 seconds left, press the "confirm bid" button in the first window. Bing! Auction over! While it won't guarantee a 'win', it will increase your 'last second snipe shot' a good deal. Been doing it that way for years!

The BHE was blown AND injected? I don't remember it having a supercharger on it, but you can see one in that photo sure as heck!

I still need a 'dry time' answer on the black undercoat. A few hours? A day? Several days? I've always heard no laquer over enamel, but that's just what is being 'called for' here. So, how long from spraying the part glossy black (or glossy plus clear) until it's 'safe' to shoot the Alcad???

It's still a three stage process. But I wonder the same thing. There's a local custom shop doing it, and it does look exactly like chrome. He's redoing pot metal parts that are pitted by doing simple body work and painting them chrome. They look as good as new when done. I'd say, in another couple of years we'll see it in a rattle can.

A very nice build! The L'il Coffin is one of those few, rare cars that had several 'in-car-nations' over the years! I'm sure someone here has pictures, or knows where such photos are, of the many faces of the L'il Coffin.
