Sanded the last of the metallic gray paint off that the built up came with, added a dash and threw a coat of white primer on... Major yellow bleed-thru!!! That may effect color choices... Changed the wheels for now, kind of like them but I still dig the idea of a set of wild skinnies... Color/colors is still completely up in the air... The name game narrows a little bit though, I'm liking.. "Etcetera'd" (Or "EtceteRod") Or "DeJaVooDoo" Lots of things have been named "De Ja VooDoo", songs and whatnot, but I haven't found a car by that name... Could be wrong too. I'm not 100% sold on the transsition from the old body behind the door to the decklid, but I don't know just what else to do ether... Thoughts, comments, color ideas, names or other suggestions? Till next time!

Great builds both! I'd love to see a nice set of figures to go with one of these, and a Jethro Bodean "Double-Naught Spy Car" conversion too!

Saw this on the Hot Wheels collectors board and thought I'd share it here... Don't know just what it is, but it sure is wild looking! Here's part of the caption, "yes, it did race in the 1954? Carrera Panamericana Race, from what I know, it did 8 laps before it DNFed due to not meeting speed requirements."

Al, I like that too much to copy it, but thanks for reminding me of that build! How's it coming? Meanwhile, The pods are dropped, going for a 'lighter' look. Capped the rear valance, added a different Big Block Chevy, the valve covers will be sanded smooth and I kind of like the 'Ice T' scoop reversed and low (Reminds me of the early Monogram dragster kit!). I ditched the sidepipe center sections, they were just to far gone (Painted candy blue like the rear end, lots and lots of it.) so I made some simple clean pipes and opened up the exits... While I like the front wheels ok, but I'd rather have something skinnier and "different'. I can't find a decent rear match/compliment for what I have. Searching for a pair of so called 'Dollar store choppers', but have yet to find the right 'dollar store'... Photo time! Next up, Prime Time!!! Keep those cards and letters comin'!

Made some progress, filling in the gaps around the rear fenders and rear deck, added front radious/ladder bars, some new lskinny low profile front wheels and windshield posts... Can't decide if I like the front wheel foils or not... Rear view... I'm planning on using the Ice T side pipes still, but not the exits, they'll turn back under with the exits comming through the rear valance were the Ice T taillights were. I'm thinking one big red lens in the big opening... Power will likely be a big block Chevy with 4 side draft webbers or side draft fuel injection, nice and low! Color? Who knows!

Started another little project in honor of Elden, from a built up "Iced-'T'" I got off the 'Bay a while back... Have a look! Lobbed off the front spring supports and filed it smooth, robbed a "Beer Wagon" front axle and set it just in front of the nose., Flipped and moved the 'tanks' forward, they'll just be wheel foils now. Chopped off the roof and spun it around, ground to fit for a new rear deck. Motor will be, um, well I just don't know yet... Same for colors, name and other whatnot. This will be a simple, quick, low detail build while I think through some "Cord of Wood" issues I've stalled on... Thoughts? Comments?

Are you sure you didn't maybe dream this model? I've had some pretty convincing dreams... This sounds like a combination of several kits, but no one kit. I've built a ton of models in my life and this doesn't ring a single bell, it does ring several bits of other bells though... Was what you saw built up? Could it have been a kit-bash-Frankenstein?

Looks like the 'STA' "Bug" has a Corvair or other pancake 6 for power along with a fairly trick for the day IRS! If it lost the 'oh so Seventies hip' square headlights and nose for something more bug like, it'd be a plenty cool ride today! Wonder where it went?

Let me start by apologizing to all for the misspelling of Elden, won't happen again. I'd like to see "something" in the way of a ETCCII, even if it is just a sticky and display. I felt last years was a great deal of fun, and it set me back on the building path I'd sorely missed for some 15 plus years. What ever/how ever, I'd like to see it go forward for years to come. My arrival here was not long before he passed, so I didn't have the privilege of really "knowing" him, only of him from print media. I wish I'd joined sooner, I can say that. So, I'll leave it to the 'old timers' to decide if/how this goes forward, I was just asking.
