Hey Tory, that is a great build. I'm an old ship builder and I can certainly appreciate all the work and detail you put into this build. It looks beautiful!

It looks like it would crumble in your hand if you tried to pick it up! Great job of boneyard rust and destruction!

I love it!, Yeah Yeah, Yeah!!!!! Great idea John. And, you have great talent at more than building and detailing hot rods for sure. I'll bet you were an artist in your previous life. Maybe Michaelangelo??

Tim, in 1991, three days after my mother retired, my father dropped dead of a heart attack. They were at our mall exercise walking, and no one knew CPR. Your mom did save his life and I encourage all of you to learn CPR. It's very simple and I have been Red Cross certified to do CPR since 1994. Tim, my prayers are with you, your family, and Chuck and his family. Please keep us posted as time allows.

Luca, those are great looking!!! I love the details in paint you do that brings out the character in your kits! Keep it up! If there were anything you could do differently, maybe some old junk box engine parts added to the display base of "Shifty". And, I love the fly(s)! Can't wait to see the plastic versions.

Bob is a great guy to use for chrome and it's as shiney as any I have ever seen. After cleaning your parts of seams and defects, polish with ever finer grits of sandpaper until you can get them to a high luster finish with polish. The slicker they are, the better the plating, because it will show "EVERY" imperfection. Attachments:

What Starry Eyes said. I have to add that warm water is safer than HOT water in my experience. I have had some of the newer decals roll up and stick together before I could get them off the backing by using hot water. I have since started making sure my water is only warm. It may take a little longer, but you still have a pliable decal to work with!

I have experimented with several types of glue for various applications when building plastic models and discovered a unique way to avoid glue stains, smears, and fogging. I was using acrylic FUTURE FLOOR POLISH to dip my windshields and headlights in to give them a clear sheen and glass-like finish when it dawned on me that Future adheres to Future better than glue bonds to plastic. Now, I not only use it to dip windshields, chrome, and headlights, I use it to attach them to my models. Attaching headlight lenses to chrome bezels with FUTURE keeps the chrome and the clear lens absolutely unmarred. And, it holds better than glue. Attaching almost any part can be done this way. There is another bonus to using Future as glue........when soaked in water with a little ammonia and soap over a period of time, it becomes cloudy and loosens it's grip so you can disassemble your model without breaking the parts! FUTURE can also be used to attach canopies for planes, and after drying, it can be painted over. The bottom line is that it does not show when dry, and it does not mar paint or chrome! I also use FUTURE FLOOR POLISH for clear coats in my airbrush because it leaves a deep gloss shine. It does not require thinning and is ready to shoot straight from the bottle. Just be sure to clean your airbrush immediately after use. Try it! It works great! Attachments:

I'm not usually a Steelers fan, but that is an outstanding Gridiron Grabber build! It just goes to show you. Looking at things a different way is the greatest talent on this board! Great build Steve-o!
