That's awesome Timbo! I know I didn't do back flips when I got my peek. It seems to pick up speed on the second lap. Great stuff. Excellent paint too!!!! Well done, Bud! ;D

I am not a big phone guy, but I have had the opportunity to talk with AJ and Tim Nolan. It was also through this board that I met a lot really great Cal. Modelers and a few of my heros - Boom Burke, Ira, Big, Dave, Dave McGowan, Sam Freeman, Allan Alexis, Brandon Flannery and lastly Jeff - Zoot - Miller, who has become a close friend of the family.
All of these guys are top notch individuals. That includes the guys who have shot me a PM or post response from time to time. Can't find a better place. 'Course, I've said that before.

I almost stopped by your house on the way home today just to get a preview. Course, that would have left Kyle and Justin all by their lonesome for a little too long. Oh by the way, with a little luck we may be able to shoot one or both of their projects too.
How 'bout stopping by Sunday at about 11am?
See ya. Flounder Klown

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished piece, Timbo. Gonna be RAD! Bodywork aside, it's still all about impact!!!!!!!!
Maybe you should save you pennies and make the trip out to SoCal for the next Rat Plastic Thrash. Build all you can stand in 5 hours.

Thanks guys.
Thanks for pushing me on the inlet, Skurv . I thought about the same thing, but hate to disturb the profile. Gonna go a little higher on the body.

Subtle changes, but they make a difference - at least to me. Can you see the illusion of forward motion on the bottom version? Next, it's chassis time! Hosted on Fotki

Hmmmm. Not quite working for me either. Can you find a way of picking up the arch of roof and working in a couple light pods to match the ones on the cowl.

You are right Zoot. The canopy need to slide forward. It could also use to be a little shorter with a more dramatic curve down at the back.
I'll be on it again later this week. Got work work to do now.
Thanks for all the input everyone.

OK Timbo, I have almost caught up with you. Now it's time to refine the design and do some mock ups. I'll be showing my hand, so don't bite it. LOL. Here is the first sketch that started it. Hosted on FotkiAnd here is where we are now... Hosted on FotkiOnce all the body work is sroted out, then the chassis comes next. I like the roadster (coupe?) look better. The rear fenders make more sense with that roof. Keep goin' Boom. I am sure you will have another winner.
