I think that's the LA Street Chopper by Revell. If it is, I had one as a kid and gave it to Jerry Amaral in Nor Cal.

Hang on, let me go look in the garage...... foot steps......door opens and closes......Door opens and closes. Foots steps....
Bad news - Not the Henry J. too long. Good news, got a set in the parts box and I can pull the cones from the Henry J I do have.
Got an address?

I've been after that one too! It's the only part I have missing from an unbuilt kit. I picked up a watch face from a kids watch. Pretty close to the right size. No ring, but it had a cool T-Rex hologram when the light hit it right.
I think the kid quit crying by now.... Kidding!

Awesome stuff, Dave.
I used to doodle at meetings too, but it don't look so good for a manager to be drawing cars on a press schedule. Had to stop.
Take care. Can't wait to see more.

Better to show them big rings off. First ya gotta make 'em fit just right. First build up around the orginal wheel well with thick styrene sheet. Liquid on the joints, then CA and Zap a Gap along the back side. Notice how the sheet sits above the edge of the body? That's so I can sand it down flush and use no filler. Hosted on FotkiThen just use your tire as a template and hog them babies out. Bitchin. Hosted on FotkiOh, and here you can see how nicely the filled trunk and door lines flattened out. One side still to go. Hosted on FotkiSee you in my mirror. Flounder

Hey Whitewall. You basically got it. Let is sit over night and knock it down smooth. No filler, or just a bit. Best part is no shrinkage. (Timbo - insert joke here).
It is going to be a one piece body more or less. The part are all around if you take a look.
I'll post more pics of the body work before I lay on the primer.
It was great talking to you Timbo.

Need to fill in those panel lines if I'm gonna get slick. First run a bead of liquid glue. This will soften the plastic. Hosted on FotkiThen start working in the styrene rod. Just press it in. Sometimes, I prebend the tight corners. Hosted on FotkiYou can pull it along the longer panel line. It will drop right in. The trick is to keep working it back into the gaps as the glue dries. You can see a flattened out one on the door panels. Hosted on Fotki

Mr. Tim Nolan, Nice choice on the Lincolnliner. Good thing we didn't decided to go draggin' cause we might have built the same ride. Check this drawing out from the early 90's. I have the parts to build it. Flounder. Hosted on Fotki

Chineese thingys... You may be a man of the world, but them is WAAYYY to small. O, hey timbo......skirts are for girls. Nay Nay. Barten - I don't know if I can find them again. They are for sizing rings for promotional companies. I don't think my company gives away stuff like that anymore. Lots of eye-poking sticks, though. Flounder

Don't need this stuff Hosted on FotkiNeed these. Anyone know what they are? And what they will be. Barten would be proud. Hosted on Fotki

K&S Aluminum tubing is the material. THe tools are exatos, files, and sand paper. Lathe? We don't need no stinkn' lathes! (But it would be nice.)

Why is it some nights everything just goes wrong. I've been doing clean up on the Uncertain C to get it ready for the Grand National Roadster Show this weekend (I hope you are not all sick of this thing.) Last night went well...tonight not so good. I masked off the roof to repaint it and rushed the paint and laid the flat black on too thick and got dirt in it. The alternator broke off when I was adding header flanges and I could not get the super glue to stick to get it back on. I started making a steering box and finally decided to give up and post some new pics from last night's work. Hosted on FotkiI'll try again tomorrow night. I updated the site for now. public.fotki.com/Scottcolmer/on_the_bench-1/page5.htmlFlounder
