I have been looking for a while for an interesting shifter knob for my roadrunner, I have looked everywhere, jimmy Flintstone eBay, even independent sites. I'm looking for something wild, that doesn't look like anything else something with a Flintstone vibe, but more detailed. Does anyone have any suggestions about were to get an interesting shifter knob (it has to fit on a pistol grip shifter)

This build is going great, my project has been sitting on my build desk and various other paint/ body work places around my garage for the past few weeks and the howler is the same. I can't wait to see how you build the tea room body and the plethora of accessories (one of my favorite parts of this kit), I also hope your project is going better than mine I had to replace the frame after it broke in half, today the kit is back to the way it was however this is deceivingly one of the harder kits I've ever worked on, the real kit has body issues worse than a Pyro kit

Wow this is one of my favorite kits, the body pan and the tools can be scourced from the stogie wagon, the scrollwork can be scourced from the cashbox, and the rest could be kitbashed relitivly easily. In your last pic I noticed that the chopper forks had been sloid while the real kit had the two side parts drilled out

Was there a model ever made of the family truckster used in the movie National Lampoons Family Vacation? I have always wanted to do a pro mod version of the crazy wagon, however I am unable to find any kits, from model companies or resin

I've collected Deal's Wheels for many years .. and Don is right .. the "Buy it Now" price is very competitive in the REAL world .. even in their present condition . I have also sold many of my builder kits, sealed kits, and open kits to many here over the years and had no problem getting prices Don spoke of .. Buying "all of your sealed kits" for $200 sounds a little too good to be true especially if comparing ALL your kits being sealed & original like THIS seller with original kits in their condition but kudos to you my friend for being at the right place at the right time .. Granted the market does fluctuate on plastic like everything else but I think the seller in right on target .. I bought none of them on eBay, so the prices were actually pretty good, yes I recognize that today those prices may be way to low, however I bought my kits over a period of years starting around ten years ago, using anything from Goodwill to alternatives like toy shows. Since then I have parted with all but three, Swine hunt (now built), baja bug (still sealed), and a bug bomb. Immediately I felt buyers remorse, however at the time I was trying to fund another project and needed the money, and after resent experiences with selling lots in eBay hadn't worked, I sold them all separately separately while only keeping my favorites.

Not really, two of those kits go for almost 400.00 each Really, which ones, cause I bought all of my sealed kits for less than $200 all together. Would you pay that much for them, cause I think he should part them out

I decided to move the body to accommodate the engine and have attached the taillights. I have since painted that little blue spot I removed the rear wheels to repaint them, here's the car without the wheels and tires

some progress, I decided to repaint the car with pastels to go along with the other cars I'm working on, the colors I decided on were a base cloth color commonly used on strollers, and a custom mixed purple, I am now chrome painting the parts, and have sourced an engine from a royal rail, as for the gypsy wagon I have made some progress on that and will post pics of that later what it started as What I've done to it so far I've painted the whole frame since this was taken I've painted the bottle cap and since this was taken also the light, after going through the gypsy wagon and finding mo place for it, I have since decided to remove the flower and place it in the howler

Some of the parts can be found in the li'l stogie (lantern and the shovel), while the other parts are relatively hard to find, some could be made or sourced, such as the barrel or the cooking parts, the other parts, however may be hard to locate such as the fire, the pot, or the flower parts. If you are looking for the kit parts try python kits "Al", he may have the parts, as he did build a reproduction of the kit along with the li'l cashbox and the parks losers kits, go to the gallery to see the other kits, but if you are looking to see up close pics go to the yard sale page, and click on the gypsy wagon link

A few years ago as many who have been on this site will tell you, during late Nov. 2010 there was a seller on eBay who it seemed to be selling lots of 3 cars, but the weird thing about these auctions was he seemed to have every kit on the show rod list, including every John Bogosain kit, the other thing about his auctions was that every kit seemed to be in atrocious condition. I was overall disinterested in his lots until I found out while going through them, had been posting his kits in lots of three, while not posting pics of two of the cars in the main listing. During that period of about three weeks in which he posted many grails I was able to buy a number of lots that included the hemi howler, Koo Koo kar, Der beetle bus, lug bug, Rommels rod, and a number of other kits that were included in the lots. Out of all the kits hew listed, if anyone remembers, the lots that I bought seemed to be the worst condition out of anything, recently after a few years of these cars sitting around I got to work on restoring them. For the Koo Koo kar I used my weathering tools and chalks, while for the howler I simply used citadel paints sprayed through my airbrush. This is the progress as of today. After a few weeks of sanding, filling, and paint/ prep work, this is as far as I've gotten on the howler the car itself, I changed the wheels to magnum 500 wheels after I replaced the wheels on my barracuda model The Koo Koo kar after days of work, I think I got it looking pretty realistic, how about you? another
