The transparent green roof is the hard part. The only other major difference is the windshield is taller, and there's no sand dune.

Wow, how many different intakes has this kit had over the years? I see at least 4 completely different ones shown here alone, and the Sweetee was blown...
Seems the original headers with the quick caps would be a natural for the aftermarket to offer, maybe even a complete Little T conversion kit. But I could see the headers as a stand alone good seller too.

No question, he's a One Hit Wonder with a Rolling Stones ego. He could have easily profited many times over if he'd just been a reasonable guy, instead he took his only toy, and went home. Now he wants a finite fan base to finance a possible resurgence? I'm sure another tantrum is right around the corner.
And thinking back to the day, while the car was cool, part of what made the kit cool was everything that came WITH it. The display base, with stanctions, trophy and chick. When finished, you didn't just have a show car model, you had a very cool full display piece. I'm hard pressed to think of too many others (The Undertaker maybe?) that came with a similar full set of features.

So I take it, the answer is No, no one has seen or messed with the Oz resin repop then? You can look up the history of the seller on Ebay. Just click on the number of items sold and read the reviews. Simple, eh The feedback is all positive, which basically means the parts were all there and pretty. I'm wondering how well they assembled into a finished piece...

Anyone had any experience with the resin repop from Australia that's regularly listed on Ebay? It looks pretty nice, and complete, and not unreasonable money, compared to the originals that show up from time to time.

Great "High Roller" Decals! Where exactly did those come from? They look a whole lot some original art I did many, many years ago.

Looking mighty wicked there Ira, but, try and see how it looks with the front axel set out in front of the body a little bit, rather than under it.

I don't like to say never.....but doing it his way.....never happen. I work in the kit industry with Model King. Through this I get to work with Moebius and Revell time to time. He has no idea what he's up against. I've worked with some of the most talented plastic kit designers in the biz....and still it HARD work. On a side note....AMT is reissuing 'Lil Hot Dogger' 2nd Q 2015. I talked to Revell about showrod kits. They will continue to reissue them....but no more new tooling like they did on Rommel's, Taxi and Dragon. The Dog catcher project is dead. Given this information (Your work, Dave) does anyone know IF the original UT tooling still exists at all?

He's missing the boat by going this route and the project is going to sink. I think the top dollar anyone would pay is maybe $60 for anything that's not the original Monogram tool. That'd be the way to go, ink a deal to get the original re-popped (With minor revisions so it's not confused with the original) and just be happy with a reasonable royalty check. Everyone wins. The way he has in mind, no one will win, including Steve Scott.

Was reviewing your build, and it seems like the Pyro/Lindberg body is a blend of the '36 model 810 (hood) and the stillborn prototype of the '38 model (transmission cover between the front fenders). Good to know, as my Monogram version is a '37 supercharged 812 model. I like the 810 hood better (no side pipes, etc.). While researching this build I found out it's the supercharged versions have side pipes, and the normally aspirated engines did not. I like the look of the Cord without side pipes myself, as the COW shows.

Wow, that top is slick like a mirror. I was thinking it was clear plastic at first! I swear, it looks like you maybe just see a hint of the inside in this shot, but you don't... Cool build!

Thanks! Yes, 'D2ND' does mean something, let's see if anyone can guess what it is before I say anything.... Nice job on all the builds, so far, let's hope we see some more before the entry window closes. I see it as you "un-cartooned" or "De-tooned" it from a DW to a real world version! D2ND, De-tooned it is!

Brandon, quite an imagination there buddy. Is the dune buggy a kit or did you make it? Mike, What does D2ND stand for? Other than A vehicle I wouldn't want to come across in a dark alley! The Eskimo Pie Wagon, as I've said before, it's the first tracked car I ever really liked. The little touches as the dual stick steering are perfect. Very Nice. Thanks! Yes, 'D2ND' does mean something, let's see if anyone can guess what it is before I say anything.... Nice job on all the builds, so far, let's hope we see some more before the entry window closes.

Got one all done. Decals came out, 'good enough'. The other is sitting on a wire hanger, drying and awaiting 'finial assembly'. Both will need photography as well. Don't matter if they're finished if there's no pics to show it.
