Very, very cool stuff.... on rainy days my brother and I would make cars from different colored construction paper and a lot of scotch tape. I had no idea people were doing this on this kind of level. It's incredible, thanks for sharing, and if we ever have a contest, it would be cool if you entered. There is no rules stating what medium they are in, as long as they fit the theme/subject matter.

I am not a collector.. I have about five kits that are unbuilt and will stay that way that are ones from my youth, and frankly they aren't worth much at all, just cool kits I had that left an impression.
Now as far as other's "grail kits" lol.. I have kit-bashed my share and will continue to do so... though many of them were built from glue bombs. For me, everything is just parts to create something new. Out of all the built kits I have, maybe five are box stock.
Build them, create things, and enjoy them...

I saw it earlier it kind of looks like something grail killer would have built Hey, I resemble that remark... ;D ;D ;D But if I built it, it would've had the Ivo Showboat front clip with four nailheads.... Hmmmm..... anyone got a glue-bombed Uncertain T they want to sell?? Muwhahahahaha!

This was my old closet, it's not as organized right now, but I work out of little nut and bolt bins at the kitchen table. I have one main box and three smaller ones I inherited with parts I don't use as much. The main box has all my favorite engines, blowers, rims, interior parts, accessories and suspension parts. It is my palette. I also have a model box with nothing but chrome trees and others with hot rod parts like model A and T parts....

First off, I want to apologize for my lack of participation.. Between work and traveling I have been home about a week and a half in the last couple of months. It's been a busy summer.... I didn't make much progress on my Jeep.

As usual:
Comments for the Contest go here to keep the Entry Thread clean and organized.
PLEASE be kind to your fellow showrodders. Negativity is not condoned.
Everyone has worked very hard on their builds... This is a celebration, not a critique. If you choose to make "suggestions" on what YOU might have done, please do your best to present it in an encouraging manner.
This can be a touchy area for some when creativity is involved, so let's keep that in mind, and have some fun!

That's exactly why my kids get to play with most of my hot wheels and Johnny Lightning stuff I collected... I'd rather them make memories than sit on it and not ever get anything out of it in the end...

I think it was a Wild Willy Jr.. little battery-powered deal.
I'm thinking a Yellow beach/dune bomber since I've made it 2WD...

I am using a jeep like this for inspiration: Like and old '70s dune/beach comber with the surf boards in the back and a shovel from the Li'L Stogy...

I have to thank Ira's thread for kicking me in the pants and getting this one out and back on the bench... Somebody donated the Jeep kit to my kids, forgive me for pilfering it, but they have been building with me the last two days on the others, so all is not in vain... My oldest just finished a Cop Out that he really fought but felt great about after he muscled through it and the decals were on.. It's important to me to help him not get discouraged because things aren't perfect and keep going. It was a cool evening.. Anyways, this Tamiya Jeep was motorized, but the perfect size... I ripped apart my Deal's bus for the parts, and it will get the mirrors, antenna, surf boards and license plates... I have some side pipes and other doo-dads also... It's a 2WD dune jeep.. I'm probably going to paint it yellow... Yes I will trim and shape the fender flares that Ira inspired..
